Founder of Lazar Design+Build in Manhattan Beach, Steve has been building homes for over 30 years. His portfolio ranges from west coast modern beach chic to the more traditional architectural styles reminiscent of New England homes. His early years in construction gave him critical hands-on experience in every detail of residential building. Now a home designer as well, his vast experience enables him to anticipate and solve issues ranging from spatial planning to functionality and comfort.
Central to his work is the concept of “Thoughtful Design.” Form and function dovetail seamlessly, resulting in homes that respond to the individuality of each client’s lifestyle and family structure. Steve knows the importance of design innovation and beautifully crafted spaces, but respects that a home’s livability is ultimately paramount. Today, Steve is one of the most prolific and respected designer/builders in his community, having created or remodeled dozens of homes in Southern California.
As Partner in Ocean Blue Capital Group, Steve combines unparalleled craftsmanship and aesthetic with a veteran’s experience in South Bay building practices. A graduate of UCLA, Steve lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife and 4 children.
