Chicago born, M.J. Lanphier studied Architecture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in addition to studies at L’Ecole D’Architecture De Versailles, France in 1999 and 2000.

11 years of professional interior design experience between New York City and Los Angeles led to the establishment of MJLID in 2004.
