Description

ARCHITECTS + BUILDERS | District of Columbia, Virginia & Maryland

CACAO Studio is a design-first architecture and design-build practice focused on custom homes, additions, and renovations, with select commercial work. We work closely with clients to create enduring spaces that are thoughtful, well-crafted, and deeply connected to the way people live.

Our work begins with light. We consider its rhythm, presence, and ability to shape space, atmosphere, and daily experience. Design decisions are guided by clarity, purpose, and care, resulting in spaces that feel intentional and enduring.

As an integrated design-build studio, we guide projects from early concept through construction, maintaining continuity, clear communication, and alignment throughout the process. Clients value our collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to carry design intent through execution.

Based in Washington, DC, we primarily serve the DMV region. We take on a limited number of projects each year, working with clients who value design, craft, and a thoughtful, well-managed process.
